Instructions for Use of Carrefour Gift Voucher

  • The Carrefour gift voucher can be used to receive goods at any Carrefour hypermarket in Taiwan. (Food courts and shopping centers are not Carrefour hypermarkets.)
  • The Carrefour gift voucher does not have expiration date. It shall not be used to exchange for cash or claim for return of goods. The balance, if any, will be deposited in the Carrefour Balance Card or Gift Card for consumption next time.
  • An invoice is issued for the gift voucher and no invoice will be issued when you receive the goods.
  • Return balance will be deposited in the Carrefour Balance Card or Gift Card for consumption next time.
  • Reporting a missing gift voucher, if any, or requesting for stop of payment is not allowed and no gift voucher will be reissued.Delivery of goods (services) or reissue of a gift voucher may be requested Receiving goods (service) if any gift voucher (including the primary and additional vouchers) is damaged or deformed but the contents are substantially recognizable. A fee of NT$ 50 will be charged for reissue of each gift voucher. However, the Company may refuse to accept, reissue or replace the gift voucher that has an unrecognizable denomination or barcode due to damage or filth.
  • The gift voucher can only be sold in a Carrefour store and shall not be resold. Carrefour reserves the right to determine the sale of the gift voucher.
  • The gift voucher is only used for the consumer to receive goods at any Carrefour hypermarket and not applicable to the various card stored value or used for payment of commodities or services (e.g. installation fee or transport charge) or for collection or sale business under commission. Please understand.
  • In order to comply with the laws of the Republic of China, any goods that are not allowed to be sold by discount or prizes may not be exchanged for The Carrefour gift voucher.
  • The gift voucher is valid after launch of the payment system and becomes invalid when nullification is marked on the surface of the gift voucher or the redemption is registered in the system.
  • Please refer to the Carrefour customer service center to check the sales date and performance guarantee period of the gift voucher.

Carrefour Gift Voucher without Sub-vouchers

To provide a more environment-friendly, quick and simple purchase mode, the sub-vouchers on the left side of the Carrefour gift voucher does not contain amount division any more. When the Carrefour gift voucher is used, it will be redeemed with the full amount of the face value and the balance will be deposited in the Balance Card or Carrefour Gift Card.

The New Version of Carrefour Gift Voucher

To help you carry and use Carrefour gift vouchers easily, we issue a new version of voucher as large as a bank note and can be carried in your bag for use easily. Both the new and old Carrefour gift vouchers guarantee the same rights and can be used in any Carrefour hypermarket! Please keep supporting Carrefour!

The Old Version of Carrefour Gift Voucher

We issued the new version of gift voucher to follow the “Matters that May or May Not Be Contained in a Standard Gift Voucher Contract in the Retail Business and Other Goods (Services)” promulgated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and brought into force on April 1, 2007.

The old version of Carrefour gift voucher can still be used in Carrefour hypermarket without time frame, but no change will be given.

We do not provide the service of exchanging “old gift vouchers” for “new gift vouchers”.

Carrefour Gift Vouchers Make You Feel Free!

The retention of the amount that Carrefour earns from the gift vouchers is changed from trust to bank performance guarantee since December 1, 2010. Please refer to the customer service center of Carrefour if you need to know more about the performance guarantee. Or you can refer to the financial institution providing the performance guarantee indicated on the gift voucher and go to the website of the Union Bank of Taiwan for “Carrefour gift voucher account enquiry”, or go to the website of the E.Sun Bank for “gift voucher trust/performance guarantee enquiry”, or call DBS (Taiwan) customer service hotline 0800-808889.

Gift Voucher Balance to Deposit in Balance Card

We provide you with a more environment-friendly and quick purchase mode. From now on, the balance of the gift voucher, if any, used in a Carrefour hypermarket will be deposited in the Carrefour Balance Card or Gift Card.
Please bring your Gift Cars or use our free reusable environment-friendly card to deposit balance in your gift voucher.
In order to comply with the laws of the Republic of China, the source of this balance card, if it is obtained by any discount or bonus, is not applicable to any products that are not allowed to be sold by discount or bonus.
